2023 Pilgrimage Recap
The 2nd annual Fr Bill Atkinson Pilgrimage was held on a beautiful Thursday afternoon in September to support the bid to canonize Fr Bill Atkinson O.S.A. to sainthood.
Sponsored by the Father Bill Atkinson Service Corps, about 200 pilgrims gathered at the St Thomas of Villanova Church for a prayer service by Fr Rob Hagan, O.S.A. and members of the Service Corps. Guest speakers included Mary Moody, Fr Bill Atkinson’s cousin, and Cole Keith, whose survival and recovery from a devastating accident is under consideration as a miracle of Fr Bill Atkinson.

The pilgrims embarked on a 4-mile accessible walk mostly on the Radnor Trail, where they shared fellowship with the members of the Fr Bill Atkinson Service Corps, their families, and friends. Along the route, the group stopped for a thank you blessing by Dave Malloy, a founder of the Fr Bill Atkinson Service Corps.
The Pilgrimage finished at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Strafford with a closing prayer service. All were invited to stay for food served by Service Corps family and friends. It was a peaceful afternoon of spiritual comradery and goodwill.
